Wow! That's a brilliant variation on the Japanese "torture and humiliate the contestants game show" theme. This I hope the contestant doesn't starve for lack of ISK. But then again, Miss Seventeen Magazine 2004 might be brighter than she looks in her photo. On second thought, she'll never starve. This is EVE-- she'll just scam billions of ISK. Loads of eager male players will happily give them to her. |

Kult Altol wrote:I'll pod her any day. Why doesn't English speaking side of CCP do weird promos like this? LOL, if they did, it would be one of use neckbeard/pencil-necked geeks that would be the contestant. |

Or buriko banzai! Buriko* being the Japanese word for "a girl with fakey cute/adorable/childish mannerisms and poses." Hail fakey cuteness girl! (Sorry, that girl's photos kind of annoy me).

Seems like they blew all of the possible drama of the contest when they picked a cute girl as the contestant. She was bound to get free isk, free help, and lots of kindness loaded on her. That's not only takes the challenge out of it, it's pretty much the opposite what EVE is all about. |

If it attracts the no lifer Japanese menfolk (there are plenty) it can only be good to encourage plenty of fools to be ripped off, and some of them will embrace their inner darkness and devote their energies and destroy all western industrialists... before they merge TQ with the Chinese server that is. I managed to convince a few of my Japanese workers to try eve, our lead translator has really gotten into it. And by that... i mean Japanese level of getting into something. He's dedicated himself to finding the optimal frigate / destroyer setup for ganking each type of small ship / fit he might find in lowsec. He seems to enjoy being a cutthroat son of a female dog even if he's only been playing a month. Its gotten so much that every non work related conversation we have now is about eve. He's a natural born ganker and lowlife. *sniff* I couldnt be more proud. I regret that I have but one Like to give to this post. Gray, salute to you-- you have done a fine service to all of EVE. |
